With Apple Trade In, it’s easy to trade in your eligible device for credit or have it recycled for free.
Answer a few questions to get your estimated trade-in value. We’ll credit your payment method after we receive and evaluate your trade-in.
You’ll keep your trade-in device until you receive your new Apple Watch. Once your new Apple Watch ships, we’ll send a trade-in kit and email instructions on how to back up and transfer your data, and how to prep your device before you ship it back.
Once we receive your device, a team will inspect it and verify its condition. If everything checks out, your trade-in is complete. If your device doesn’t match the condition you described, you’ll receive an email with next steps.
If you paid in full and we confirm that the value of your trade-in was more than the cost of your new Apple Watch, you'll receive an Apple Gift Card by email with the remaining amount.
If your device doesn’t qualify for trade-in credit, please recycle it responsibly by taking it to a local collection point. We also offer doorstep collection of your old device when you purchase online. Look for details on doorstep pickup in your order confirmation email.

You must be at least the age of majority to be eligible to trade in for credit or for an Apple Gift Card. Not all devices are eligible for credit. Payments are based on the received device matching the description you provided when your estimate was made. Apple reserves the right to refuse, cancel or limit the quantity of any device for any reason.
